Northwest AEA is offering two School Budget Workshops in February. Your district’s school budget forms for 2012-13 may be completed in a single work session! Larry Sigel will facilitate the workshops.
There are two sessions to choose from:
Tuesday, February 28, 2012, NWAEA Office, Sioux Center
Wednesday, February 29, 2012, River Valley High School, Correctionville
The budget workshops will run differently this time around due to feedback we received this past year. The day will be split into 2 sessions. Please choose either:
Session 1: 9 a.m. – 12 Noon for superintendents and business managers that have been through the budget process several times and that have FY11 Worksheet 1, Worksheet 2 and FY12 re-estimated Worksheet 1, Worksheet 2 completed and ready to go.
Session 2: 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. for newer superintendents and business managers that haven’t been through the budget process or need a little extra guidance. They are not required to have anything completed prior to attending.
Both the superintendent and board secretary/business manager are encouraged to attend. Please submit the names of those attending from your district so we can get a lunch count.
There is no cost to the districts for this workshop. (The AEA pays $200 for each district attending.) A list of the informational items you must bring to the workshop is included below. You are encouraged to arrive at least 15 minutes ahead of the scheduled start time.
Registrations can be emailed to Gloria Miller at gmiller@nwaea.org, called in to her at 1-800-572-5073 or send by van mail to her at the Northwest AEA Sioux Center Office by February 15, 2012.
