If you would like to attend Level 1 Instructional Coaching training on June 28th-30th at the AEA office in Sioux City, there are seats still available. Training will be 8:30-4:00 each day.

Northwest AEA, along with the other eight AEAs in Iowa, is implementing Jim Knight’s model of instructional coaching based on his book, Instructional Coaching: A Partnership Approach to Improving Instruction. Knight hails from the University of Kansas Center for Research on Learning. This model is based on the KU strategies that have supported classroom instruction for over 30 years. Learn more about Instructional Coaching here.

There will be no charge for the training: Northwest AEA will pay for the training and materials. One hour of licensure renewal or graduate credit will be available at a reduced rate. Registration information will be available at the workshop. Lunch will be on your own.

Should you have any questions, please contact Barb Chambers at 800/572-5073.
