Jeff Brownlee of the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department will keynote a gang awareness workshop on Monday, June 6, at Briar Cliff University. He will be joined by the Sioux City Gang Task Force to educate law enforcement, parents, educators and service providers about gang identification, activity, prevention and school activity, as well as strategies to use with gang members.

A free parent/community education session will also take place on June 6 at 7:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Sioux City.

The workshop is sponsored by the Sioux City Police Department, Sioux City NAACP, Northwest AEA and Briar Cliff University.
