Subject: ESL Endorsement Scholarship Application

Dear Educators and Administrators:

Northwest AEA is offering two ESL Endorsement Scholarships to help assist and
encourage teachers in acquiring their ESL endorsement. An ESL endorsement
requires 18 hours (six classes) of graduate endorsement courses. Applicants
will be selected according to the following criteria: (1) Teaching in a high need
district or building and/or in a district serving ELLS with no ESL endorsed teacher;
(2) Commitment to enroll for the 2013 Fall semester and complete the entire
endorsement in 2 ½ years; (3) Currently teaching in a school district within
Northwest AEA; 4) Having a minimum of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum
cumulative grade point average of 3.0; 5) Teaching in a classroom and holding a
valid Iowa teaching license; 6) Application is received on or before May 31,
2013.

application form, a copy of your official transcripts, and a copy of your Iowa
