I am reaching out to you in need of volunteers for Walking School Bus with the Blue Zones Project. Walking School Bus (WSB) is a program that walks children to school (elementary) in the morning. It gets them there safe, on time, and is a fun way to get them moving naturally. Currently, we have two schools that are implementing this program, Spalding Park and Irving.

We are in need of 8-10 volunteers that would be willing to walk elementary students to school. Volunteers are asked to arrive to the school at 7:30am and are finished by 8:30am. I have done the WSB at Irving these past few mornings, and it was really fun, plus I got some fresh air and exercise to start my day!

Would you or any of your associates be interested in committing to walking elementary students to school, at either Irving or Spalding Park? A commitment at Irving would include walking with students for one week, and Spalding Park will be walking with students only on Wednesdays.

The weeks at Irving would be:
October 28-November 1
November 4-8
November 11-15
November 18-22
November 25-27

The dates at Spalding are all Wednesdays:
October 23
October 30
November 6
November 13
November 20

Thank you for considering, and I look forward to hearing back from you!
