Children absorb a lot from their surroundings.  Take a few minutes to look at your environment from a child’s eye level. Sit on the floor or on a small chair. What do you notice?  Are things the “right size"?  Can you see things easily? What invites exploration?  Are the pictures or wall displays designed for children or are they meant for adults?  Remember: both children and adults function better in a thoughtful, well-designed environment. The classroom is for children.
