The Iowa DE recently published an article titled, "Meeting the needs of our youngest and most vulnerable," which highlighted the great work being done by Iowa's AEAs and Early ACCESS staff.
Sue Moran, early childhood special education facilitator, says that it's great to see the work of AEAs being publicized by the DE.
"I'm glad to see the acknowledgement of internal coach(es) within each AEA to ensure and support fidelity of practice utilizing FGRBI (Family Guided Routines-Based Interventions) and SSOOPPRR (Setting the Stage, Observation and Opportunities to Embed, Problem Solving and Planning, and Reflection and Review) to enhance capacity and confidence-building in the families we serve," said Sue.
Brenna Franken, early childhood special education teacher/consultant, recently took the reins as Northwest AEA's internal coach when Sue was promoted.
Congrats to the whole team!
