One of the Midwest's largest cultural conferences will be held for educators and community members on Feb. 9-10 at the Polk County Convention Center in Des Moines. The mission of the conference, which is organized by employees at Northwest AEA, is to advocate for culturally and/or linguistically diverse students and their families, educators, and service providers.
This year's theme, "Rooted to Grow: Diverse Learners in the 21st Century," will focus on culture/folk life, K-12 education, assessment, early childhood, adult/higher education and more.
The conference typically draws over 1,000 attendees from across the Midwest.
