Subject: Tentative Dates for 2013 I-ELDA Training Sessions
Hello Everyone. It is once again time to be thinking about administering the Iowa English Language Development Assessment (I-ELDA) to your English Language Learners. This is a mandated assessment given on an annual basis to assess the progress our ELLs are making in their English language acquisition. Teachers administering this assessment must be trained. This year’s training will be offered through Adobe Connect. The training has been divided into three sections. You only need to attend the section that pertains to you. Tentative dates and times are listed below.
January 8 (8:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m.) Logistics (ordering and submitting Bubble Answer Sheets (BAS))
January 8 (10:00 - 12:00) Grade Levels K-2
January 22 (1:00 - 3:00) Grade Levels 3-12
January 24 will be a snow date if anything is cancelled from 10:00 to 12:00
Please note training sessions will be recorded and archived for those who cannot attend the training on the scheduled dates.
I am in the process of reserving rooms at the Sioux City AEA and at the Sioux Center AEA for those of you who would like to view the training with other educators. More information will be sent in the near future. If you have any questions please contact Sherri Anderson at email@example.com or Carla Roghair at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Have a wonderful week.
