It is once again time to think about administering the Iowa English Language Development Assessment (IELDA) to your English Learners. This is a mandated assessment given on an annual basis to assess the progress our ELL’s are making in their English language acquisition. Teachers administering this assessment must be trained.

This year’s training will be offered through a mandated Moodle Training.  Educators can complete the training on-line on their own or complete the training at one of the NWAEA’s Face-to-Face trainings.

For those who would like to complete the training with other educators –

there will be two separate Face-to-Face trainings – districts need only attend one.

Trainings will be:

Thursday, Jan 9, 2014 from 1:00 to 3:30 – Sioux Center NWAEA Conference Room

To register http://bit.ly/18z46GG

Or

Thursday, Jan 16 from 1:00 to 3:30 – Sioux City NWAEA, Room F

To register http://bit.ly/1c1n2NB

Please read the attached IELDA Administration Guidelines 2013-2014 for general information, ordering and training links and timelines.

Note this year IELDA test orders will be placed on-line through Iowa Testing Program, this is a change from previous years.

Contact Sherri Anderson at sanderson@nwaea.org if you have questions.
