The Northwest AEA ELL Consultants have developed a Wiki with the intent of connecting educators serving English Language Learners (classroom teachers, ELL teachers and administrators).
What is Wikispaces Classroom?
Wikispaces Classroom is a social writing platform for education. They make it incredibly easy to create a workspace where educators can communicate, share and work on projects together. You may want to consider this type of space for your own classroom.
What will you find at the NWAEA ELL Wiki?
We currently have pages set up for a wide variety of topics including strategies, journal articles, books, special education considerations, talented and gifted considerations, technology integration, helpful websites to name a few. The NWAEA ELL consultants have started to populate the pages with resources. Once you join the NWAEA ELL Wikispace you can also share resources. If you have additional “page” ideas contact Kathy Perret (email@example.com) and she will set up the page.
Want to Join?
Wikispaces can be public or private communities. We have chosen to keep this a private community since we may be sharing ideas or comments that only pertain to NWAEA schools. If you attended the ELL Networking Day last spring or this fall’s ELL Data Dig you may have received an invitation to the Wikispace. If you’d like an invite, please contact Kathy Perret at firstname.lastname@example.org
