The Summer 2016 Art Ed Now National Online Conference for Art Teachers will be held July 14, 2016. There are more than 20 speakers lined up for this conference. If you are not able to attend on July 14, you can register anyway, because you will receive a Conference After Pass that will be good for one year after the conference.
The speakers present information in TED Talk-style sessions that are approximately 15 minutes in length. The sessions will cover pertinent topics and strategies for today’s art teachers. Authors, artists, bloggers, and other art teachers will be presenting the topics. Post-conference materials will be available from each of the speakers so learning can continue throughout the year.
The featured presenter for this conference is Michael Linsin. He will be speaking about 5 Keys to Effective Classroom Management for Art Teachers. Other topics will include flipping your classroom, the Reggio philosophy, the science of color, building your art program with passion and purpose, and an engaging graphic design assignment.
Art education companies will give away freebies, handouts, product samples, and much more. The final day to register and receive a swag box of gifts is June 5. The cost is $99 if you register by June 5th. The regular price for registering June 6 – July 5 is $125. If you register after July 5th through July 13th, the cost is $149. The benefits of attending this virtual conference far outweigh attending a live event. It’s convenient, inexpensive, and can be re-lived as many times as you would like.
