How many of you have heard of Pinterest? If you are like me, you are probably addicted. If you aren't sure what Pinterest is then click here for a description of this great resource!
Many people use this wonderful tool to plan ways to redecorate their house, find good recipes, plan a wedding or party, find new outfits they would like to own, plan a dream vacation, etc. Did you know that Pinterest can be an AWESOME educational tool too?
Start by going to www.pinterest.com. Sign up (it's free!) so that you can save your "pins". Once you have signed up you can start searching. Look up at the top middle of he page and you will find "Pinterest" in red writing and right below that you will see the words "Everything, Videos, Popular, Gifts". Click on everything and then "Education". You can find ideas from all kinds of classrooms and teachers. If you want to search for something specific, simply go to the search box in the top left corner and type your search.
If you find a picture you like you can pin it to one of your boards by clicking the "re-pin" button, or you can click on the picture itself and it should take you to the website where the picture is found. Usually the websites have more information!
Still need help with the "pinning" process? Here is a great step-by-step how-to instruction set! theweekendhomemaker.com/pinterest-faqs
