A tweet from Alan Novmber asked a question about technology plans. "Does anyone have a tech plan that focuses on student learning (e.g. math, writing) instead of stuff?" It really is such an important question. It's so easy to get caught up with the stuff, that we do forget the bigger picture. Our questions have to go far beyond, Chromebooks, PCs, Mac or tablets? What are we going to do with this technology? Another Tweet featured a picture that asked the same question using a different medium. It isn't about creating Prezis, Blogs, Wordles or...it's about skills. What are our learning outcomes? Technology can be the tool we use to achieve those outcomes.
I'd love to hear your ideas. What are your goals for students in your classroom, school or district? What technology are you planning to use to reach those goals?
