Have you heard about Google Expeditions?

Google Expeditions allow teachers to take their students to places their wouldn't be able to go with virtual reality in the classroom. Students can visit the pyramids in Egypt, an underwater coral reef, various museum around the world and many other locations. Google Expeditions can be used with your current curriculum to make the world around you come to life via virtual reality (VR) and panoramic video and images.

Purchasing Google Expeditions isn't cheap, but the world can be explored by all the students in your district with one classroom kit to share. Many schools have grants, foundations or local business that could help open the world to your students here in Iowa.

A school in Eagle Grove Iowa got to be a pilot site for Google Expeditions. Here is a link to their video: https://youtu.be/3MQ9yG_QfDA

Happy Exploring!
