SIOUX CITY, IA (Jan. 8, 2021)—Northwest AEA will host "Observation and Assessment of Young Children" virtually beginning on Jan. 26 at 5:30 p.m.
This class will take an in-depth look at observation and assessment in the early childhood classroom. It is designed for anyone who works with preschool-aged children including administrators, preschool teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff.
Discussion, activities and assignments will focus on how early childhood program staff gather data about what and how children are learning through observation and assess- ment. We will be using a variety of tools to gather information and plan instruction to further student development.
Participants will learn to take high quality, meaningful anecdotal notes, use them to score assessments, and plan children’s daily activities.
