This class is a combination of lecture, discussion, application and practice anchored by

training modules from Portland State: Function Based Thinking. Content is focused

on understanding the motivation, pay-off, or function of a student’s behavior and to

use that information to identify and implement effective interventions. Attendance

at all four training days is required, with opportunities to practice skills with coaching

completed between classes. Graduate and license renewal credit is available.
