Fine arts is comprised of visual art, music, and performing arts. These genres can be taught as individual subjects or be integrated into other content areas.

When integrated across the curriculum, students' lives are enriched. For example, when studying art history, students may learn about the dominant elements and principles of design in a painting. But they could also learn about the ecosystem, climate, or culture which is exhibited in the painting. Additionally, students can identify geometric principles embedded in a painting such as point of view, angles, and proportion.
